Bruce Styer started this family-owned business in 1983 with the goal of offering superior landscape and maintenance services to Richmond and its surrounding areas.  Bruce and his team consistently delivered quality service at competitive prices in a reliable and conscientious manner.

Under Bruce’s leadership, Styer Landscaping has built a strong reputation on a solid base of repeat business.

Meet Our Team

At Styer Landscaping, we employ a team of skilled landscape professionals who offer a comprehensive knowledge of plants, trees, lawn products, and maintenance strategies. We have Certified Horticulturists, Certified Applicators, Certified Technicians, and Certified Concrete Paver Installers on staff. We hold a Class A Contractors License, Landscape Services Contractors License, and
an Irrigation License.

The Commonwealth of Virginia recognizes Styer Landscaping as a

Certified 100% Woman-Owned Minority Business.

Lucinda Mountainsong

Lucinda Mountainsong, President

 

 

Lucinda Mountainsong holds a degree from Cornell University and has a solid business and marketing background.  Lucinda is committed to providing unparalleled service in the landscaping industry and growing Styer Landscaping based Styer’s excellent reputation for quality, integrity and professionalism.  Lucinda has a long history of growing businesses to their full potential.  Lucinda is also committed to attracting and retaining the best people for each position in the company and developing them to their full potential with the goal of having completely satisfied clients.  Lucinda is the sole owner of Styer Landscaping.

 

 

 

 

 Ebony Williams

Ebony Williams,
Operations Manager

 

 

Ebony Williams joined the Styer team in 1999.  Ebony worked on landscape maintenance for the first year as a grounds man. Within two years, Ebony was promoted to foreman in the landscaping projects area.  Ebony has earned the trust and respect of his crew, the architects and designers with whom he works and the clients he serves.

Ebony has a keen sense of organization and detail and firmly grasps everything that is required to bring projects to successful completion and manage the logistics involved with each project.

Ebony now assumes the role of Landscape Projects Manager, responsible for directly managing each landscape project and coordinating all the associated logistics to ensure successful completion.  Ebony feels that the team at Styer landscaping is a close-knit family and a great place to work.

 

 

Thomasine Smith,
Office Manager & Special Projects

 

 

Thomasine (Thom) Smith joined the Styer team in September 2016 as Project
Office Administrator. Thom brings with her an extensive background in
customer relationship management, business process management and program
management. Thom firmly believes companies that understand the importance
of consistently delivering exceptional customer experiences set themselves
apart as industry leaders. This is certainly one of the attributes that
distinguishes Styer from other landscaping companies.

Thom holds a MBA from Strayer University and has completed courses in Lean
Six-Sigma (VCU) and project management(UVA).

Adam Jarvis,
Landscape Projects Manager

 

 

Adam has been working with Styer Landscaping for over 13 years and possesses extensive knowledge in maintenance and installation.  Adam has taken college courses in landscape plant materials, and recently acquired his Class A Contractor's License.  He loves working with clients to provide quality landscapes they can enjoy for many years to come.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Mike Richards

Mike Richards,
Landscape Maintenance Manager

 

Mike comes to us from the very prestigious Kinloch Golf Club.  Mike started his career in high school working at nurseries and on landscape crews. His passion for turf and ornamental plants grew and lead him in the direction of golf course management. After obtaining a degree in Turf Management from Horry-Georgetown in South Carolina he dove right into upscale golf facilities. Mike's experience with turf at courses including The Federal Club and Kinloch Golf Club has taught him a great deal in the maintenance of premium turf grass.  Among many other duties, Mike is responsible for ensuring that every client is receiving the premium care for which Styer Landscaping is known.
